Queen of Apostles School (or Q of A) is a Catholic grade school (K3-8th) located in the Village of Pewaukee, Wisconsin. It was established in 1858 as St. Mary's Catholic Parish. The school's mission statement is as follows, "We, the faculty and administration of Queen of Apostles Catholic School, are a faith-filled community who reinforce a foundation for continued spiritual, academic and social growth. This is provided through a safe and supportive environment that accepts and encourages each student to reach his or her potential. As a dedicated team, we work in partnership with parents/guardians and the parish community to guide the growth of each child".[1]

History

Queen of Apostles was founded as St. Mary's Catholic Parish in 1858 by German immigrants. The original stone church still stands today and is used every Monday for a school Mass.

News

Queen of Apostles recently bought a 30 student school bus to try and offset the high rising price of diesel fuel. The bus runs on unleaded gas and is used for the Sussex bus route which currently services about 20 students.

The School also purchased netbooks for the 65 students in grades 5-8.[2]
